The film is engineered around a single nervous system. We are building a mix in which the audience hears the world as the tuner hears it — a hyperacusic field in which every refrigerator, every floorboard, every tumbler in a lock arrives at the ear with the same unnegotiable clarity as a struck string. The instrument and the safe are the same object.

The film is built along two acoustic axes — a public one and a private one — that the candidate is forced to inhabit at the same time. We are engineering a mix in which the podium, the press scrum and the campaign bus are tuned to one register, while the kitchen where the ransom call lands is tuned to another, and the whole film is the sound of a man and a woman trying to keep the two from bleeding into each other.

The film is an industrial portrait. We are building a London in which the noise of the press — Linotype, hot metal, teleprinter, rotary web — is the dominant weather system, and the men in the editor's office are heard against it. The mix oscillates between the factory floor where the paper is made and the small rooms upstairs where its meaning is decided; the building itself is an argument about journalism.

The wall is never the subject. We built the film that happens on the other side of it — an atlas of cruelty rendered entirely in sound, scored against a domestic garden.

Bella is not born into the world — she is born into its acoustics. We tuned her perception across five sonic continents, from the muffled amniotic bath of Godwin's house to the full-bandwidth assault of Lisbon and Paris.

An entire film's diegesis was caught on hidden microphones. The encounters are real, the locations are real, and the acoustic impossibility sits on top of that reality like a film over glass.

A clear sky is a blank canvas; the thing inside it is heard long before it is ever seen. We built the creature out of wind signatures — a weather system the audience could locate in the room before the camera dared to look up.

The cellar is not a location — it is a pressure chamber. We tuned the acoustics so that every confession, every silence, resonates as if the walls themselves were a held breath waiting to be exhaled.

A household continues to sound like a household after the child is gone. We built the absence — the small, specific frequencies the boy used to occupy — so that every subsequent room in the film is heard in relation to the one no longer being filled.

The mainland is not populated by monsters — it is populated by a landscape that has forgotten people. We built a Britain in which wind, water and ruin carry the tonal weight the human voice used to, and the infected are the last thing you hear, not the first.

The film is built as a diptych: first the nervous system of the son, then the nervous system of the sister. We engineered the two halves to have opposing acoustic biologies — compression and release — so the audience feels the break in the body before the script confirms it.

The palace is not a backdrop; it is a third antagonist. We built a household that amplifies every footstep, every whisper, every clipped courtly consonant — a baroque panopticon in which the characters cannot say anything without the architecture overhearing it.

The rules of the Hotel are audible before they are spoken. We built a world in which the social architecture — bureaucracy, surveillance, forced intimacy — leaks from the plumbing, the PA, the corridor carpet. The regime is first a room tone.
